Set of silk and lacquered wood body armor from the Tokugawa period. Front and back sections which tied together in a barrel format for protection. Fittings covered with gilt Tokugawa armorial logos. Back fitted with cast iron horseback carrying hook and mount for battle flag polearm. Comes with multicolored silk wrapping that looks to be pertiod to the piece. Great display item for the sword collector.
