3 medal set commemorating the 1923 hyperinflation entitled "The German People's Suffering". Text shows that on November 1st 1923 a pound of bread cost 3 billion marks. By November 15th it was 80 Billion marks. By December 1st bread cost 260 Billion Marks.a pound.. Shortly after this the Reichmark was replaced by the Rentenmark at a rate of something like 1 billion old marks to 1 new Rentenmark. In original box with partial cover.
