US: 42 star flag from 1889

Large, 5 x 8 foot, cotton 42 star flag.  Nice honey color to the white fields. canvas bunting with brass grommets.  Excellent condition.  Odd flag in that the US had 42 states for 243 days, but not long enough to recignize a 42 star flag.  Before that could be accomplihsed, the 43 state, Idaho, entered the union creating the 43 star flag.,  Great display item
