Beautiful example of a RAD Streifendienst (crowd control/order police) gorget. An excellent example of a very scarce gorget and a very attractive one with a highly polished base surface with all the ribbons and lettering pieces being in a matte finish. The reverse wool backing shows a very slight surface scuffing from various pests over the years, another indication of age and authenticity. A lovely piece.
